Mounted in a grid, a set of four viewing apparatuses display transparent screens encoded subtly with information. Accessible through close scrutiny or illumination from an oscillating light source, page-sized panels of manipulated found imagery offer nostalgic and ironic re-imagined narratives of the retro-futuristic. Reflections of these figures are periodically cast behind the objects traveling in a patterned path along the wall as a spotlight passes over their arrangement. Through a re-configuration of the familiar into invitations for analysis, modes of knowledge production themselves become the subjects on display for study.

This collection of work spans an intersection of formative moments within my practice as it has evolved throughout my time in the MFA program. They are a reflection of the systems, through which I reconfigure realities that are seriated by material culture, applied to my own body of work. Here, through a process of simultaneous rejection and referencing, I reactivate previous work by extracting and recontextualizing imagery in order to reinterpret their significations.
